In order to save up money to get a new car, Brad takes a job at a local sporting goods store - where his natural salesmanship and tenacious attitude quickly makes a good impression on his affable, sports car-driving, ski condo-owning 25-year-old boss, Rob. As Brad spends more and more time working with Rob - and less and less time working on the hot rod - Tim grows concerned that Rob is a bad influence who's stealing his boy away from him. When Brad skips his PSATs to work a shift at the store, Tim goes to the store to demand that Brad quit - but with some help from Rob, they're able to teach Brad the importance of making time for work, school, and everything else in life.
