When Jill gets a scratch on her Chevy Nomad, Tim insists on taking the car for the day so he can drop it off at his favorite body shop to get repaired on his way home from Tool Time. That day’s shoot is an on-location segment about construction cranes, and Tim’s insistence on being allowed to operate the crane results in him accidentally dropping a three ton beam on Jill’s car. Tim tries to keep this a secret from Jill until the car can be repaired, but she ultimately finds out - forcing Tim to confront his pathological obsession with cars.
